I’m a makeup artist, my concealer trick makes your under-eyes look ‘airbrushed’

A PROFESSIONAL makeup artist has revealed how mature women can banish the signs of aging on their face.

She revealed even the most budget beauty products can have amazing results if the skin is moisturized well before applying.

Rocio Soria (@rocio.roses) has garnered over 1.8 million followers on TikTok, where she shares her latest cosmetic purchases and makeup tutorials.

She took to the social media platform to share anti-aging tips for achieving a youthful appearance.

“I worked for Lancome at a Macy and an Ulta,” she said.

“I was a makeup artist for them and 99% of my clients were more mature women.

“So let me share with you some anti-aging makeup tips.

“You always want to start off with an eye cream or eye serum.”

Rocio held up a bottle of L’Oreal Paris Revitalift serum which costs $32.99 before patting it around her eyes.

“Instead of rubbing back and forth you want to pat from your nose outward,” she continued.

“This is also amazing for lymphatic drainage.

“So here’s a secret, you don’t need a primer you just need really hydrated skin so go in with a really rich moisturizer.”

She shared her love of Dr. Jart’s skin barrier cream which is just $20 from Sephora.

She applied it lightly to her face before advising that it’s best to “avoid heavy, thick, full coverage foundations.”

Foundations from YSL, Huda Beauty, and Milani were in her hand as she revealed they aren’t the best for mature skin.

“Instead opt for more of a skin tint or something like the Pat McGrath foundation that is super watery,” she said.

“Cream products will be your best friend. Blend concealer with a brush just trust me.

“It basically gets into every little fine line and makes your undereye look airbrushed.

“Do not be afraid of blush, I encourage you to use it very generously because it keeps you looking youthful.

“Now go over with your Beauty Blender to make it all look seamless.

“Set with translucent powder only where you need it, underneath the eyes, around the mouth and forehead.”

The makeup artist didn’t reveal the brand of liquid blush she used or the setting powder. Pat McGrath’s sublime perfection foundation costs $69 from the brand’s website.

“I worked as a Macy’s counter manager and as an Ulta boutique manager for Lancome for three years.

“These are some of the best makeup tips for mature skin! Less is more and skin prep is key!”

Over 50,000 people watched the video and it racked up thousands of likes from those eager to try the tips for themselves.

Many viewers took to the comment section admitting they’ve struggled to adapt their beauty routine as their skin ages.

“Kudos to you for makeup tips for us older girls, thank you!” one person wrote.

“I’ve had to throw out so much makeup because it gets in my lines or separates,” another commented.

“As someone with more mature skin, I enjoy using a brush to set my conceal rather than a puff,” a third chimed in.

“Yes, all of these are true. I’m 46 and keeping your skin hydrated is key. Also less is more,” a fourth said.
